On September the 5th we are hosting our annual Cross Country. This is an event for all the children at the school regardless of their running ability. We run this day as a whanau day so children are able to wear their whanau colours. Our inter whanau competition is structured as below
100% participation will equal -200 points
90% participation will equal -180 points etc
Each runner will have their position recorded and if a runner gets 1st then they get 1 point for their whanau. In this competition it is the whanau with the least amount of points.
We will be getting underway on the day at 11:30. We will be starting with the 3km run. From there we will be working backwards.
It is really important that all children participate. For some of our less confident older runners this year we have made the maximum distance 2km and they can walk it.
We look forward to a big turn out!
