NAG 5 Review - Have your say!

posted Jul 29, 2015, 5:50 PM by Kelly Auld

Selection of Teams at Auroa School:

At Auroa School, teams will be trialled and selected according to ability unless teams are playing in the same competition (if this occurs teams should be evenly split), within the appropriate age groups. The time on the field is to be evenly allocated unless playing in interschool competition.

For Interschool competition Auroa School will pick the best players for the team regardless of age unless stipulated in the rules of the competition. All teams will be selected according to the desired maximum numbers of

 - Netball (9 players)

 - Basketball (8 players)

 - Touch rugby (9 players)

 - Interschool rugby (12 players)

 - Interschool soccer (13 players)

A wider squad may be selected, but on the announcement of the team, these players will be identified as non travelling reserves.  They may train with the team, but this does not mean that they must be selected to play any games. Non travelling reserves only will play in the event of a squad player being unable to play due to injury or absence.

The coach and a member of the Auroa Schools staff will select teams. All selections will be final.

All teams will be published on the school website and non travelling reserves will be identified.

The Principal reserves the right to exclude any child from an event due to behaviour

Any issues about the selection of players or game time, will be forwarded to the principal.
